Custom Gardens build a beautiful patio and fire pit. Then they removed all plantings and old grass/weeds from my front and side lawns, and planted a nice variety of new shrubs. New sod was also planted. The new look is what I wanted: nothing fancy or hard to manage, and a reshaping of the mulched areas so mowing is easier. I met with Kristi several times, and she was sure to take note of what I wanted. She was the only landscape designer that provided a detailed quote and plan diagram.

Have used Custom Gardens for multiple projects and have been pleased every time. Excellent up front planning on each project and flexibility to adapt to unique challenges with every install or maintenance project. The people are awesome to work with and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the end results. Will continue to use them for ongoing maintenance and upcoming projects for sure. We want to let you know how pleased we are with the replanted bed.  It looks a thousand percent better.  It will really be lovely next Spring.  In addition, the 2 young gentlemen who did the planting were outstanding.  I think the names are Wayne & Caleb.  We would be pleased to have them work on our property anytime. I’ve been a satisfied customer of Custom Gardens for more than 15 years. The first project was an expansion of our backyard to include a Koi pond, a raised rose garden, a brick pathway and other plantings. Since 2016 Custom Gardens has performed quarterly garden maintenance for me and keeps the hedges and plants trimmed and mulched. Our latest project together was to landscape a spa/pool and involved stone steps and a walkway around the pool and another stone walkway from the house to the gazebo. Then they built a patio and water feature next to the gazebo. In every instance Custom Gardens has exceeded my expectations and fulfilled my wishes with expertise and care. I highly recommend this organization from their design team to their maintenance crew.

On August 11, 2020, Custom Gardens installed our grilling patio with natural flagstone. First of all I can’t believe it only took one day. The crew was top notch and worked through a very hot n humid day with a sense of humor and total professionalism. The care they took in making sure each piece of flagstone fit perfectly was beyond my expectations! I have no idea how these men had the patience it took to complete this task. Coming from an impatient person. This is the second hardscape Custom Gardens has completed for us. When I need a job done right, I don’t call around for estimates. I call Custom Gardens!!

Wayne was here at our home on 4/27/2020 to do the garden care clean up, there was a lot of work to be done. He did an excellent job, Wayne is always polite and courteous, he is a great asset to Custom Gardens!

Rob did an excellent job of reworking the pool area a bit and blending it with the walkway. We are already getting a lot of use out of our mini-park.

Rob and Rico were so diligent, friendly, respectful, neat, thorough, and careful ... exactly the kind of employees I imagine Custom Gardens would want.

We were extremely pleased with Wayne’s work. He took his time and did a great job trimming the Crepe Myrtle as well as the Jolly Tree. He cleaned up all the debris, leaving the yard look great.

I recently worked with Custom Gardens, a local company located in Yorktown, to help me with erosion control for a slope section of my yard. The work required a large amount of plants and trees, over 200 pieces, to be planted in various locations on the slope. The planting crew came in and did the entire job within one day with great speed and accuracy. The care that went into the work is nothing short of amazing, and over 95% of the plants live happily on the hillside. However, for those plants that did not make it, Jon and Kristi worked on the schedule to replace them as needed. Custom Gardens provided the replacement plants and worked with me to bring an even better selection than the original plants. With the current labor shortage crisis, Custom Gardens and their personnel performed the work on time and flawlessly. Because of such a wonderful experience I experienced, Custom Gardens is my “ GO TO” company if and when I need help with any outdoor project.
